The challenge
Creating sociable, family-friendly tall living
Families and residents needed reasons to use shared spaces and routes, rather than treating them as purely functional circulation.
Amenity had to be distributed vertically to make best use of roof areas and limited ground-level space.
Outcomes
A playful, productive landscape across levels
The proposals encourage residents to meet, play and grow food throughout the building’s circulation and roof spaces.

Play on the way
Informal play elements are woven into everyday routes through the ground-level landscape.
Shared roof terrace
A communal roof garden offers social space with views across the surrounding context.
Kitchen gardens & green roofs
Edible planting and extensive roofs support biodiversity and resident wellbeing.
